Irene – Summer Holiday Secret chapter 1

Liza and Ken although married live separate lives and take separate holidays. She comes upon an email for Ken from a woman. He plans another holiday in China, where do they go from here. Mysterious story from Irene, watch this space next week!

 

Mike – Taking a Break

The behavior of holiday makers in Cyprus drive a couple to go to Crete to get away from it all. The holiday makers habits go with them…………..

 

JohnG – Charabanc to Southend.

Life in the 1950’s Saturday night sing songs around the piano, Sunday lunch after a drink or two at the pub was the way of life, Every summer a coach trip to the seaside was organized, the children saw countryside and farm animals followed by a day at the seaside and of course a stop for a dink or two at a pub on the way back. Happy days.

 

Anne – A Camping Safari

Another chapter from Anne’s book about her life in Kenya in the 1860’s her husband organized safari trips for rich American tourists. One day they returned to find that the entire camp had been stolen. A trip to the nearest Massai village and a diplomatic talk with the elders, the next day the camp was restored as it had been.

Anne’s life has been very interesting and we look forward to hearing more of her memories.

 

Margaret – Stories from her early life,

A rewrite of last weeks’ story about her experiences in city of Northampton, working in the shoe trade, her husband, her children. An interesting historical tale of the times. More please.
