A lively meeting with many members.

John announced that Beryl’s trilogy is now complete and being prepared for printing. Lizzie’s Secret is set in New Zealand in 2015. Beryl read an extract from the new book.

Caroline ‘Major Incident’ - Light humour.

Helen Story

Michael ‘You’ Story inspired by the demise of the Jeremy Kyle show this week – based on previous week’s homework writing in 2nd person narrative.

Jordi ‘Redemption’ – extract from his research writing about Marlowe being Shakespeare.

June ‘Final Season’ – an extract from her autobiography, towards the end of her career.

John ‘Floating Islands’ – an extract from his sequel to Norm and Dig’s, writing 5,000 words a day to complete the story.

Svetlana Story about a haunted hotel in Cyprus.

Nikki ‘Zeus Factor’ – an extract from her novel wanting feedback as first reading aloud of this piece.

Coffee break: 11:00 – 11:30

Speed-writing exercise: Begin a ghost story, hooking the reader to want to read on.

Homework: Complete your ghost story.
