Another thought provoking poem, well written.

Rick – Irish Creatures

Starting with Leprechauns, Rick researched the various creature in Irish myth including Banshees, Changlings, Selkies all have a basis in truth.

Irene – The Irish in Marie

The history of the McClory family who came to Scotland from Ireland leading to Irenes upbringing in Scotland, holidays in Ireland with relatives to the present day.

Susie – A tale from the emerald isle.

Olagh is at college in England and gets a place on a students coach trip to Ireland. Staying in a village cottage she meets a leprechaun whoshows her the secrets of being a fashion designer which leads to her success.

June – Patrick the musical

The history of St Patrick using irish song titles very cleverly worked into the story. Very clever use of words and phrases .

Suzanne – Amal of Sha’ab

The story of a young girl in Syria under the new regime, a harrowing story indeed.

Mike – The luck of the Irish

A true account of a night in an Irish pub, when a boxing match between English and Irish fighters is happening. Good natured fun and banter.

Anne – Dinner with the stars

Annes story about dinner at Sammy Davis Jr’s house with Sidney Poitier who is not impressed with the flamboyant display of wealth.

Glen – Paddies new life.

Two Irish men go to England to work for Wimpey, and are not impressed with the British tax system.

Jennifer – The Emerald Isle.

Everything Irish well told in rhyme.

John E – And religion too

Another of John’s tales of his past.

Bob – The Darkening Sun

Achilles spends time with his family and Gina. His grandfather gives him some advice, but will he take heed?
