Minutes of Our Meeting of Thursday 14th October 2021 Venue: Coral Star Hotel.
Greetings Scribes.
Neo’s informed us that there could be no meeting when first members arrived so they quickly decamped to Coral Star which will be our new home from now on.
Meeting commenced at 10-30. Mike Rick Niki and June made it to the new venue where the staff made us most welcome. on Skype: Gina and John. Bob tried to join but had technical difficulties.
Apologies: Dee who will not be available for a few weeks and Jennifer.
John took the minutes but is not available on the 28th Volunteer required.
Mike started things off with a discussion on how items posted in sites like “Paphos People” attract different levels of interest.
He then began the readings with his nostalgic article on the Dowedswell Viaduct.
Nikki read: “A Delicate Balance” based on last week’s prompt 'As the Light Flickered Out.'.
June read: “Another Winter’s Tale 2020.”
Rick read: “Kutlu Adali.” part 3 of “The Death of a Journalist”
John read “A simple Task.” Based on the Silence prompt from two weeks ago.
Prompt for next week. “In the dark the door slowly opened.'
Meeting closed at 12 00. We would like to thank the management and staff of Coral Star for making us so welcome and their excellent coffee. Our face to face meetings will be there from now on. A skype link will of course continue for those unable to attend in person.
